Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will utilize your extensive experience to lead complex manufacturing and capital projects and drive innovation in production processes. Your role will involve optimization and the integration of new technologies into the production line. You will be responsible for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring product quality.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field with at least 4 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
  • Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of manufacturing professionals.
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively convey information to team members and upper management.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve manufacturing issues promptly.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with industry standard manufacturing software.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management • Oversee and manage the development and execution of manufacturing/capital projects
  • Create project timelines and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management Process Improvement
  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies for optimization
  • Implement new processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Conduct process audits and make recommendations for improvement
  • Train and mentor team members on new processes and procedures
  • Analyze production data and make recommendations for improvements Budget Management
  • Help Develop and manage manufacturing budgets
  • Track and report on expenses and variances
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and implement strategies
  • Work with finance teams to ensure budget adherence Team Leadership
  • Provide leadership and guidance to manufacturing team
  • Set goals and expectations for team members
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
  • Identify and address any training or development needs for team members Continuous Improvement
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing team
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for change
  • Encourage feedback and suggestions from team members
  • Regularly review and adjust processes to increase efficiency and productivity
