About The Position

Perform all mechanical, plumbing, and electrical maintenance throughout property. This includes implementing routine maintenance and urgent repair in accordance with sound engineering practices and occupational health and safety regulations. The role requires closely monitoring the effects of servicing and maintenance on their condition wherever possible, keeping all records of maintenance and testing, and performing preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment. Responsibilities also include lamp replacement, fixture repair and replacement, circuit breaker reset, changing AC filters, basic plumbing repairs, hotel guest room repairs, responding to Maximo work orders, keeping daily logs, and supporting events. Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to understand and comply with all hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff
• Read, write, and communicate verbally in English
• Ability to perform basic math
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Previous experience in Engineering or Facilities in relation to general building maintenance
• Minimum three years' experience as a general building repair technician preferably involved in hospitality industry
• High School diploma or equivalent
