About The Position

The Engineer 3, Occupational Safety, working under general direction, is responsible for applying technical safety standards, principles, theories, and concepts to independently develop approaches to solutions for a wide range of difficult occupational safety problems such as hazard control and prevention, safety systems and equipment, compliance, risk, etc. with consistency in a timely manner. The role coordinates with other team members to implement plant-wide safety processes such as the Company’s Safety Operating System (SOS), emergency response planning, safety training, and the application of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts. The role would also work with senior engineers and managers to contribute to the completion of milestones within specific projects as per function priorities.

Requirements

  • Experience in occupational safety engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to develop solutions for complex safety problems independently.

  • Experience with safety systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with emergency response planning and safety training programs.
