Under the direction of the Director, Technology - Infrastructure Services, the Engineer III - Network will be responsible for administration and maintenance of the IEHP's Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) which are Cisco Network systems. The Engineer III responsibility will be to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer and systems network(s). This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all Network Appliance Hardware and software, and all communication circuits.   • Administration and maintenance of the IEHP's Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
  • Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer and systems network(s).
  • Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all Network Appliance Hardware and software.
  • Manage all communication circuits.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of Network Design and Administration hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks, Cisco routers, switches and security solution and Cisco recommended best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in computer related field or similar technical field from an accredited institution required.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Extensive knowledge in TCP/IP and multi-routing protocols.
  • Working knowledge with all Cisco Platforms, including Catalysis, Nexus, ISR, ASR, ASA and Wireless Controller with AirOnet Access Point, Palo Alto Firewalls and T1, Layer 2, MPLS WAN circuits.
