About The Position

OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer III with Precision Sheet Metal experience to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Experienced in precision sheet metal fabrication. Optimize fabrication processes to meet quality and performance standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, design, production, and quality to ensure manufacturability and efficiency. Analyze designs for improvements to enhance production capabilities and reduce costs. Develop innovative manufacturing techniques to improve throughput and minimize waste. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Program CNC machines (punch, laser, combo) for flat blank processing. Create and maintain process routings and bills of materials (BOMs) in ERP systems. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years’ experience in a fabrication (precision sheet metal) environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of cutting, punching, bending, and welding processes.
  • Skilled in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Experience with CNC programming and machine operation.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma.
