About The Position
The Engineer III, Manufacturing Engineering position at Thermo Fisher Scientific involves planning and implementing engineering products to enhance quality, improve operating performance, and increase process capability. The role requires troubleshooting existing processes and recommending engineering solutions to address capacity, cost, and quality issues. The engineer will drive Continuous Improvement initiatives and support Practical Process Improvement (PPI) activities. As a Project Engineer, the individual will lead, plan, and implement automation projects, collaborating with internal departments to develop engineering specifications and plans. The position also involves identifying and implementing new automation equipment to meet product and process requirements, collecting and analyzing data using engineering principles, and authoring project documentation including timelines, risk assessments, drawings, and SOPs.
