As a Server and Device Management Engineer, you will provide support and design for our SDM services to our clients. You will leverage your skills and knowledge of Microsoft Management solutions, including System Center Configuration Manager, Intune, Application deployments and ODS.

  • Create and maintain current and new processes utilizing SCCM for automation and deployment of multiple systems including operating system imaging, software packaging, scripting with PowerShell / VB Script and application deployment.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for automation tasks.
  • Assist the team with the management and direction setting to include setting priorities, coordinating, and the reporting of accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Review software release notes for compatibility and installation processes.
  • Schedule maintenance windows for internal and client deployments, following all change management processes.
  • Create upgrade reports and present results to internal and client stakeholders.
  • Creating, deploying, and maintaining Task Sequences.
  • Creating Packages for Operating System Deployments (OSD).
  • Deploy, configure, and monitor monthly Software Updates, ADRs, patch compliance, and remediation.
  • Assist clients with developing maintenance windows that meet the requirements for upgrade cadence while reducing impact to normal business operations.
  • Support Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (current branch) for multiple clients.
  • Support Microsoft Intune for multiple clients.
  • Work with the latest Microsoft Infrastructure technologies and solve real business problems in multiple technical environment.
  • Complete emergency (zero day) patch deployments.
  • Complete moves, adds, and changes for maintenance collections and deployments.
  • Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firmware upgrades, anti-virus solutions, and software patches.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the client and organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent SDM activities.
  • Perform routine audits of patching and upgrade activity to confirm all updates are being applied and reported correctly.
  • Participate in routine audits to record patch levels and create reports to meet compliance.
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3+ years equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years experience with server and device management (Configuration Manager, InTune).
  • 4+ years experience with server/desktop operating systems and applications (Windows Server 2012-2019, Windows 10, Active Directory, SQL, Microsoft Office, Linux).
  • 4+ years experience troubleshooting server and network configuration issues.
  • 4+ years experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Knowledge of current protocols and standards, including TCP/IP.
  • Understanding of orchestration and automation methodologies pertaining to the specific needs of a managed services provider.
  • Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles.
  • The following certifications are highly desired: ITIL, MCSE, MDAA, CCNA.
  • Experience in a Managed Services environment is a plus.
  • Experience in Public Cloud architectures (Azure/AWS) are a plus.
