About The Position

As an Electrical Engineer III, you’ll be part of our Tools & Outdoor Product Execution team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to: Responsible for implementing motor control platforms for brushless professional power tool products that satisfy end user needs in the Global Tools and Storage business unit. Learn product development milestones in a world-class product management system from concept through design, mass manufacturing, and full product cycle life support. Design of new products and platforms, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures. Effectively identify and communicate major technical and schedule issues to team leaders in a clear, concise, and timely manner while driving appropriate actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering a minimum.
  • 3+ years of experience in Electronics design within a relevant industry.
  • Analog hardware design, troubleshooting, DFMEA, and hands on failure analysis.
  • Power electronics and heat dissipation methods.
  • Brushless motor controls and embedded systems.
  • Circuit simulation with LTSpice or similar.
  • Board level bring up and troubleshooting hands on experience: oscilloscope, voltage and current probes, DMM, thermal camera, and equivalent equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • PCB design using Altium or similar a plus.
  • Lithium ion battery management a plus
