The Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) Transmissions Team is looking for an engineer that is interested in performing transmissions design and analysis on both commercial and military engine programs.

  • Perform design and analysis in support of all phases of product life cycle including preliminary design, detailed design, development testing and validation, certification, delivery support, and post engine production & service support.
  • Monitor gearbox health during rig validation testing, perform test data-reduction and analysis, and confirm test objectives are met.
  • Support field investigations.
  • Use gear design and analysis tools to define gear geometry and confirm full life capability.
  • Participate as the transmissions team representative on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.
  • Work to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods.
  • Document design and analysis results and present conclusions to PW management and external customers.
  • Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience, in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas.
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience.
  • Relocation will be offered for those who qualify.
  • Selected candidate will be automatically enrolled in the P&W Engineering Development Program (Rotational Program within P&W).
  • Eligible for the Employee Scholar Program on Day 1.
