Join our team as an Engineer on the Market Monitor team! The Market Monitor Engineer plays a critical role in evaluating both economic and physical power system operations to support the analysis of the SPP energy and transmission services markets. This position supports the monitoring, detection, and prevention of market power abuse and market manipulation, while ensuring market rules, design, and performance promote efficient and effective outcomes. The role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. Interaction with real-time operations includes rotating on-call responsibilities. The position also involves engagement with internal stakeholders, market participants, regulatory bodies, and committees across both the SPP Marketplace.
