The company generates, distributes, and applies precise time for the communications, aerospace/defense, IT infrastructure, and metrology industries. Frequency and Timing Systems is expanding new contracts in the areas of digital signal processing, satellite communications, airborne timing and navigation systems. Microchip’s Government Systems group is seeking a Engineer II - Software (Platform) to contribute to R&D programs in the field of timing and communications systems. This is a hands-on technical position located in Boulder, Colorado. We’re looking for a skilled and detail-focused engineer with a strong background in product build to join our team. This role is critical to the long-term health and security of our product, ensuring that our operating system remains up to date, secure, and maintainable. You will be responsible for managing OS-level updates, addressing CVEs, and driving automation in our build and release processes. The successful candidate must be able to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve technical objectives.
