We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented engineer to provide high-impact technical and analytical support for Engine & Control Systems/Environmental and Airframe Control Systems products from preliminary design phase through detailed design, testing & validation, production, and operational services. As a key member of a cross-functional engineering team, you’ll help ensure our components meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability—whether they’re conventionally built or manufactured through advanced additive processes.   • Perform structural analysis of conventional & additively manufactured complex aerospace components including static, dynamic, thermal (steady state & transient), fatigue life, fracture mechanics (residual life) predictions and damage tolerance analyses.
  • Provide documentation of analyses results and recommendations in the form of formal reports and presentations for management and customers.
  • Assist in creating test plans and support validation and verification testing of components for thermal and dynamic performance and behavior. Use this information to calibrate and improve the analytical methods.
  • Participate in cross-discipline integrated product team as structures focal to provide design recommendations and solutions to develop products that meet technical, weight and cost targets.
  • Continuously pursue ways to develop, improve, and validate analytical methods and processes to improve productivity and cost effectiveness.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience with finite element modeling tools such as Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran or equivalent.
  • Experience in fracture mechanics and NASGRO or equivalent tool is a plus
  • Possess experience in 2D and 3D CAD tools including, UG NX, CATIA or equivalent
  • Experience in dynamic/vibration analysis and testing
