About The Position

Under general supervision, plan, organize, manage, and execute designated mechanical engineering projects and programs, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost. You will perform and oversee execution of engineering design tasks for assigned projects, including modeling, calculations, drawings, and specifications while maintaining accurate records of design work and revisions throughout the project life cycle. In this role, you develop, prepare, and review technical documentation and reports to support design decisions and project requirements and participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering solutions into overall project plans. Conduct design reviews and evaluate vendor proposals to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company requirements, utilize engineering software and tools to model, simulate, and analyze design components, and assist in resolving technical issues during construction and commissioning phases. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you continuously improve design processes and contribute to knowledge sharing within the project office and perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in engineering or related scientific field; OR
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and two (2) years related experience in engineering or related scientific field

  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards and Mechanical and Piping engineering design criteria
  • Experience developing Mechanical and Piping deliverables such as Piping and Instrument Diagrams (PIDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) PFDs, Piping Isometric and Orthographic drawings, Equipment Datasheets, Bills of Material (BOMs), and Engineering Work Packages (EWPs)
  • Knowledge of Caesar analysis including ability to interpret results
  • Experience interfacing with database design software
