DESCRIPTION: Join our maintenance and engineering team and make a meaningful impact on advanced technology and processes. As an Engineer II in Manufacturing Engineering, you will play a key role in supporting maintenance engineering initiatives, driving equipment reliability, and ensuring optimal performance across production systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process stability and deliver innovative solutions that help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you will lead engineering project initiatives focused on improving equipment reliability, maintainability, and overall manufacturing performance. You will manage and execute projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality standards. You will also lead and support reliability-centered activities such as MTBF analysis, failure mode investigations, and root cause analysis to improve equipment uptime and performance. You will develop and track reliability metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to strengthen overall system robustness. Additionally, you will support calibration engineering management and ensure compliance with internal notifications (INs), maintenance procedures, and regulatory standards. You will contribute to new product introductions, process improvements, and equipment optimization initiatives with a strong focus on maintainability and lifecycle performance. Using data-driven approaches and lean methodologies, you will identify opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency, reduce downtime, and control maintenance costs. Work closely with operations, quality, maintenance, R&D, and other teams to implement sustainable solutions that drive manufacturing and maintenance excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience in regulated industries
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis, root cause investigation, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong project management abilities and experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience with engineering documentation, specifications, and change control processes.
  • Expertise with CAD software, design or drawings software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360), and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in cleanroom environments and comply with required PPE/gowning procedures.
  • Available to work flexible hours and provide on-call support as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and manufacturing software systems
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to mentor and train manufacturing personnel.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field)
  • Relevant technical certifications or apprenticeships are valued.
  • Experience with automation, controls, and process validation preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment qualification and calibration processes.
