Responsibilities

  • Follows procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Analyze problems and recommend possible solutions; seeks guidance from peers and mentors to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
  • Uses critical thinking skills and understanding of technical standards to provide cost-effective solutions to a specific problem.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of customer and business needs and implements the appropriate workable solution to problems based on given budgetary and schedule constraints while appropriately applying policy and code requirements.
  • With supervisor guidance makes medium risk decisions that involve direct application of technical knowledge.
  • Has established effective working relationships with employees, contractors, customers, functional groups, and internal and external peers.
  • Accurately prepares detailed documents such as technical studies and project documentation for future reference.
  • Accesses project financial reports to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and review costs being charged to projects.
  • Has a basic understanding of the property unit catalogue and applying the chart of accounts.
  • Manages project budgets, including processes accruals and communicates anticipated changes in the budget; has completed financial reporting training and Utility Rate Making Concepts training.
  • Supports Generation facility outages.
  • Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy’s Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities
