Currently, we are seeking an Engineer II, Firmware with 2-5 years of experience. Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in embedded software development, testing and troubleshooting
  • Expertise in programming with C
  • Experience designing and developing low power, high performance products that have limited resources
  • Experience in low-level system development at the processor level
  • Ability in working collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills for working in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and support several projects simultaneously within the organization
  • Highly motivated to learn new and existing technologies, including GPS and cellular
  • Experience in cybersecurity, including risk assessment, threat analysis, and implementing security protocols.
  • Experience in WiFi, Bluetooth, sleep/wakeup/hibernate, accelerometer.
  • Experience in RTOS and Embedded Linux with both user and kernel space development skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Related hardware experience such as schematics review and board bring-up
  • Experience in 2G/3G/4G/5G cellular radios including GSM, CDMA, HSPA, LTE

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded C software for cellular, GPS, Wifi and BLE based wireless products in stand-alone environments
  • Develop and maintain data radio interface firmware
  • Understand system requirements and translate them into firmware requirements
  • Work with hardware designers to start-up and troubleshoot new product designs
  • Work with Customer Support Engineers to identify, troubleshoot and resolve product performance issues
  • Work with Production Validation team to ensure reliable product performance
  • Responsible for owning and driving technical issues to resolution
  • Coordinate with other engineering teams for successful product launch and support
