About The Position

As an Engineer II, the role involves influencing one or more projects or products, demonstrating high proficiency in one or more software engineering technologies, reliably scoping, estimating, designing, and delivering medium-to-large features while reducing technical debt. The position also requires proactively supporting other team members and following team processes to deliver a consistent flow of features to production.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Strong experience with Python / Apache Spark
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL process, Orchestration, and distributed computing
Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Related experience in analytic programming, data extraction, querying databases/data warehouses and data analysis.

Able to meet the requirements to hold a position of Public Trust, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation

Responsibilities

Leverage test-driven development to deliver backend systems and user interfaces to ease development and integration between them.
Contribute to the development of APIs, specifications, and data models, facilitating integration with frontend applications and third-party systems.
Design, implement, and maintain data interactions. Optimize data operations for performance and scalability, and ensure data integrity and security.
Design and develop user interfaces, informed by UX designs that meet customer needs.
Understand and contribute to functional and non-functional automated testing suites.
