About The Position

Experienced thermodynamic engineer responsible and accountable for the design and development of key Thermal components, subsystems, and complete products and systems to meet quality, cost and performance criteria. Manages projects and participates on assigned project teams. Provides direction for lab and field tests to achieve/verify refrigeration performance. Analyzes data and writes reports to document testing. Works with the model shop to prototype new products. Must be able to perform with minimum supervision of daily work schedules and activities and provide updates on progress or significant project issues to Supervisor and/or other team members.

Requirements

  • Years of experience 0-5 years
  • Must have analytical skills in thermodynamics, heat transfer and refrigeration
  • Must have hands on experience with performance testing and evaluation
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be experienced in using and understanding 3D CAD systems
  • Must be experienced with and understanding multi-level bills of materials
  • Bachelor's degree required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of FEA/CFD analysis tools a plus
  • Experience with Windchill PLM system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform work in a safe manner.
  • Develop industry leading cases that exceed refrigeration/temperature performance
  • Documents test results and design standards for knowledge share and reuse
  • Incorporate new or existing technology into product development initiatives to enhance performance
  • Meet all regulatory standards for product category
  • Ensure consistent, accurate, and timely delivery of customer projects.
  • Provide manufacturing support on new releases
  • Promote clear communication between the cross functional teams in the areas of project progress.
  • Follow design changes and product qualification through established PLM processes
