About The Position

The purpose of this job is to assist in mechanical component design/drawing support for HRC's motorsports programs. This role focuses on applying engineering fundamentals, learning motorsport‑specific standards, and contributing to high‑performance, fast‑paced development cycles in both factory and race‑support environments. Will supports the design, development, and documentation of motorsport components and systems under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years experience in 2D/3D CAD (CATIA preferred)
• Automotive or motorsports‑related experience with mechanical or powertrain components
• Proficiency with PC workstations and MS Office
• Hands‑on familiarity with mechanical systems, materials, and cost considerations
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
• Effective communicator with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks
• Knowledge of raw materials, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes
• Project management capability and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Component & Drawing Preparation
• Gather specifications and requirements for motorsports components and systems
• Research and analyze design criteria; collaborate with engineers on technical needs
• Present design concepts and obtain approvals
• Drafting & Modeling
• Create 2D/3D engineering drawings using CATIA and other CAD tools
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
• Issue drawings for review, prototyping, and release
• Prototype & Supplier Coordination
• Work with Purchasing and suppliers to confirm manufacturing accuracy
• Coordinate prototype production and support test sessions
• Analyze component performance and support improvements
• Administration & Documentation
• Maintain drawing logs, part numbers, BOMs, and assembly documentation
• Support software and technology updates
