About The Position

Weston & Sampson is hiring an Engineer I or Engineer II within our Water Discipline with 0 to 4 years of experience in our Portsmouth, NH or Manchester, NH offices. The candidate will have experience in evaluation, design, and construction of municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Background in fluid hydraulics or water treatment is a plus.
• EIT Certification is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as required.
• A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning as new tasks are assigned and new projects are undertaken.

Responsibilities

• Work in tandem with project managers on the preparation of engineering studies and design plans.
• Visit job sites to perform project tasks including data gathering, condition assessment, field inspections, and construction observation.
• Engage in engineering design of water facilities such as water treatment plants, pump stations, water supply wells, water mains, and water storage tanks.
• Conduct water system hydraulic modeling and prepare technical reports.
• Work on a variety of projects with an emphasis on studies, evaluations, designs, and rehabilitation of water supply and distribution system projects.
