About The Position
Microchip Technology is seeking an Engineer I - Test to join our Networking and Connectivity Solutions (NCS) division based in Austin, Texas. Successful candidate will be responsible for: Develop and validate ATE test programs for semiconductor devices. Perform device characterization, correlation, and yield analysis. Debug test failures and collaborate with design, product, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues. Optimize test programs for cycle time and cost efficiency. Support new product introduction (NPI) and qualification activities. Document test procedures and maintain version control for test programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- 0 - 3 years of related work experience
- Basic understanding of semiconductor devices and test methodologies.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne, Cohu Dmdx,Fusion) is a plus.
