Design and develop propulsion plant and non-propulsion plant components though all phases of development from incepton to ship board integration and testing. This include pumps, heat exchangers, valves, diesel generator, and air components. Perform varied project management tasks including program planning, preparation of technical correspondence, specification and procedure development, technical manual review, coordination with other Electric Boat departments, review of vendor deliverables (drawings, design reports, procedures, technical correspondence, calculations and test reports), qualification and production test support, and cost and schedule control. Position requires interface with other Engineering disciplines, Management, Naval personnel, Prime Contractor Technical Personnel, Hardware and Software Vendors, Materials Management, Quality Control, Trades and other Electric Boat support personnel. Electric Boat offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allows some work to be performed remotely and at home. This varies from position to position based on the amount of classified material the department interacts with, as well as a few other variables.   • The candidate must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Candidate must also be highly motivated, perform independently, and work well in a group environment.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Marine Engineering
