Pratt and Whitney Engine Design and Systems Integration (EDSI) is seeking a Systems Engineer with interest in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), to support next generation propulsion programs. The candidate will be responsible for the development of system models for one or more engine programs. Candidate will also be involved in Pratt & Whitney's digital transformation initiatives and contribute to EDSI standard work. This position provides the opportunity to be involved with cutting-edge digital engineering capabilities for future military and commercial propulsion systems. Candidate responsibilities will be commensurate with their background, experience, and education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in systems engineering roles, or familiarity with systems engineering concepts.
  • Experience using a SysML tool, such as IBM Rhapsody ®, Cameo/Magic Draw ®, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas.
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Systems Engineering Models in order to perform systems engineering tasks including: Developing and analyzing requirements, defining system logical and physical architectures, defining interfaces, verification planning.
  • Interface with team leads, team members, and other teams and provide task status updates.
  • Participate in customer and/or internal technical reviews throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure consistent application of engineering best practices and comply with EDSI standard work.
