Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in software engineering.
  • Experience in mechanical design and analysis, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas.
  • Experience with the Python programming language for automation.
  • Experience with modern application architecture, particularly serverless cloud architecture and experience with containerization.
  • Amazon Web Services Certification.
  • Experience with SCRUM & Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience with GitHub, JIRA or other code management and product management software.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Structures, Aerodynamic and manufacturing engineers to automate compute intensive processes across the engine lifecycle (design, production, and aftermarket).
  • Develop and maintain technical components, services, and integrations that extend the capabilities of engineering workflow applications.
  • Build foundational modules, reusable logic, and frameworks to drive application development in support of internal Engineering and operations customers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal customers to translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Work with the development team and stakeholders to guide platform standards, architectural patterns.
  • Use high level programming languages (primarily, Python) to build scalable enterprise applications as well as architect and deploy solutions as scalable microservices on Amazon Web Services.
