About The Position

The entry-level Research Engineer position at Pratt & Whitney focuses on addressing survivability challenges in powered flight. The role involves collaboration across various technical disciplines within the survivability engineering group, supporting technical work in Radar Cross Section analysis and testing, and contributing to key operational programs. The selected candidate will engage in analysis, simulations, engineering tests, and the creation of technical reports and presentations, while also participating in the Pratt & Whitney Engineering Development Program (EDP) for professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas.
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools.
  • Experience with common CAD software packages, programming in Python/C++, lab testing, and systems engineering.
  • Familiarization with modern day turbine engines.
