About The Position

The Engineer I: Research position at Pratt & Whitney is an entry-level role focused on addressing survivability challenges in powered flight. The successful candidate will engage in technical work related to Radar Cross Section analysis and testing, contributing to key operational programs while collaborating across various technical disciplines. This role offers the opportunity to participate in the Pratt & Whitney Engineering Development Program, allowing for rotations in different engineering disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas.
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools.
  • Experience with common CAD software packages, programming in Python/C++, lab testing, and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and simulations related to survivability engineering.
  • Perform engineering tests and create technical reports and presentations.
  • Extract meaningful technical conclusions and recommendations from technical activities.
  • Support key operational programs within the survivability engineering group.
  • Collaborate with team members across various technical disciplines.
