The QA Engineer I will aid the Quality Supervisor to oversee, manage and provide direction to the QA departments that will effectively and profitably meet or exceed the internal and /or external client's expectations by providing superior quality products and service. The successful candidate will have a Bachelors' degree in Engineering and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.   • Responsible for working with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to prevent quality discrepancies and help determine the root cause and drive corrective action with the guidance of Quality Engineers.
  • Executes activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
  • Initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical.
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Executes established programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Executes developed methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • May help in areas of Quality Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Metrology Process Control, Product evaluation such as customer complaints, Research and Development, and Receiving Inspection.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance position in a Medical Device Company preferred.
  • Knowledge of testing equipment, statistical methods, control plans.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC and programs, particularly Excel, Word, QAD or similar inventory software.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job.
