Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Experience working with root cause corrective action tools
  • Experience with SAP and Solumina
  • Experience working in engine assembly
  • Flexibility and ability to balance and resolve conflicting priorities
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

  • Support assembly and test operations for engine assembly programs.
  • Provide specification interpretation/process approvals and respond in timely manner to any floor personnel questions/andons.
  • Monitor and track non-conformance trends for corrective action management and implementation.
  • Improve assembly, inspection, and test processes to reduce and prevent defects.
  • Participate in efforts to drive scrap, rework, and repair (SRR) dollars to the lowest achievable levels by participation in process monitoring and improvement projects.
  • Participate in quality and technical investigations.
  • Assist with product recall population bounding and immediate risk containment measures.
  • Provide escape management support to investigation manager in Quality Clinic.
  • Collect/compile data and drive continuous improvement initiatives in reaction to escapes and in support of reduced cost and lead-time.
  • Adjust to shifting schedule priorities and perform other work associated duties as assigned.
