The Engineer I, Process Engineering, at Thermo Fisher Scientific will play a crucial role in supporting manufacturing operations, process improvements, and engineering projects. This position works closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, maintenance, analytical development, and packaging, to support process performance, troubleshooting activities, and implementation of improvement. How you will make an impact: Support day-to- day manufacturing operations by assisting in troubleshooting process issues and identifying root causes. Monitor process performance and analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities. Assist with the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and product quality. Collect and analyze process data to support engineering evaluations, improvement initiatives, and operational decision- making. Support execution of engineering projects, including process improvements, equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and capital projects. Assist in equipment evaluation, testing, installation, and startup activities. Participate in process trials, validation activities, and engineering studies. Support development and updates of technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering reports. Ensure engineering documentation aligns with internal quality and regulatory standards. Work cross- functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, EHS, supply chain, and engineering teams to support operational and project objectives. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving process efficiency, reducing downtime, and supporting cost optimization.
