The Special Operations Army (SOA) Platform Systems team within Collins Aerospace is seeking a Systems Engineer I. Our team is responsible for the MH-60M and MH-47G helicopter flight decks for the SOA customer.  The selected engineer will be a member of our platform systems engineering team and participate in avionics engineering tasks that are associated with the design, development, integration, and test of platform and software applications.

Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Current or previous Avionics experience.

Nice To Haves

Basic experience working within an aerospace related engineering development environment.
A basic understanding of general design or engineering change processes to successfully create, integrate, test, and deliver features in an engineering or technology environment.
A collaborative attitude, accountability for actions taken, execution to plan, and self-motivation that produces superior results.
Experience with Agile development

Responsibilities

Support requirements capture for MH-60M/MH-47G cockpit avionics for the SOA programs.
Decompose and allocate requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace.
Support cross-functional team development with both external customer stakeholders and internal software and hardware engineering teams.
Onsite execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
