Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laidback vibe and fun, active lifestyle. The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD. This position reports directly to the director of finance. Classification:Full Time Shift: OVERNIGHT - must have availability to work weekends Pay Range$29 per hour depending on experience plus nightdifferential plus fulltime benefits What will I be doing? As an Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heartofthehouse areas Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair nonfunctioning machinery and/or equipment Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention What are we looking for?
