RESUMEN GENERAL (SUMMARY): Responsible for providing and supervising technical support and service to responsibility areas, the incumbent may also perform the following functions: requisitioning, defining, initiating, specifying, documenting, validating and training. In addition may be responsible to actively participate in the designing, developing, implementing and evaluating optimal, cost-effective projects and technologies. Responsible for preserving the functionality of assets through technology innovation, focusing on results and reinforcing customer satisfaction thru continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree Engineering (BSSE BSME) or related field and 0-1 years related experience (in house. co-op or acquired outside).
  • Ability to discuss normally encountered technical or project management issues, both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to work as a collaborative team member.
  • Ability to solve routine-design, engineering problems with assistance.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement and improve manufacturing, process in terms of process lay out, material flow, line balancing and process capability.
  • Perform process value analysis to prevent waste through the process.
  • Define, implement and enhance the manufacturing monitor system on quality and output performance.
  • Perform process validation on process changes driven by new ideas or improvements.
  • Generate corrective actions as required to eliminate the root cause of quality issues, scrap or equipment downtime.
  • Provide technical training support to the manufacturing operators, maintenance technicians and peers.
  • Actively participate in automation projects development from concept to implementation.
  • Establish a customer - supplier relationship with other manufacturing areas.
  • Supervise maintenance mechanics, technicians, technologist and technical Lead Operators.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing areas preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate jobs related with the manufacturing areas.
  • Capital project coordination VIP Project Development.
  • Interact and coordinate with the outside contractors on facility projects.
  • Performs routine assignments of related tasks, which are typically a focused portion of larger projects. These tasks provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, techniques, theories, corporate and division SOP's, policies and projects.
  • Ability to solve routine design and engineering tasks with some assistance. Able to solve problems with periodic monitoring.
  • Assists in the preparation and participation in technical reviews and responsible for organizing data and preparing appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
  • Promote a zero-harm work place, and assure that required EHS resources are available and that all applicable EHS practices and rules are being followed by supervised employees.
  • Observe data privacy and confidentiality rules at all times.
