About The Position

This Repair Design Engineer (RDE) position is with the Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering Military Repair Group. The RDE is responsible for the development of repairs for the F135 program, and includes development of the repair concept, writing of the repair, obtaining approvals, and coordination with the end user. Participate in a multi-discipline team to establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the OEM parts. Create technical documents that provide engineering requirements for repairs. Continue to develop an improved personal understanding of the technologies, engine systems, business systems, regulations, and business needs of the sector. Also, foster an environment of creative technical ownership within the collaborative community of Global Services Engineering. Provide onsite audits for repair Suppliers and Overhaul Depots in support of repair Source Demonstration and Tooling qualifications. Support the Customer in the resolution of field supportability issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, plating, plasma spray, welding or brazing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
