About The Position

Zachry Nuclear Engineering, Inc. (ZNE) is currently seeking an Engineer I, Civil/Structural for a direct hire position. Successful candidate will be relied upon to perform a variety of engineering and design activities involving power plant upgrades and/or new power plant projects under the supervision of senior engineering staff. Successful candidate should have working knowledge of evaluation, selection and application of standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria. Individual will assist with performing calculations, modifications, and designs. Individual must possess technical knowledge of civil/structural discipline and ability to work on project teams with other engineers to assist in evaluating conditions and developing design changes which will improve plant performance, safety, and reliability.

Requirements

• BS in civil (structural) engineering from an accredited engineering program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry codes including ACI, AISC and ASCE 7.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to pass security and drug screening and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access.
• Ability to perform walk downs of equipment in an industrial plant environment.
