About The Position

We are seeking an Engineer to join our team focused on advancing Human-Machine Optimization (HMO) and alarm management systems for Power & Water utilities in North America. This role is critical in shaping operator effectiveness through intuitive display design, industry-standard graphics and data-driven alarm solutions. These solutions are generally engineered on Emerson’s best-in-class Ovation Distributed Control System (DCS). In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Take ownership of the engineering design, project management, testing and commissioning of High Performance Control Room (HPCR) solutions to deliver comprehensive, high-quality outcomes for our customers. Develop high-performance operator graphics that align with industry standards (EEMUA and ANSI) and enhance operator effectiveness. Design and deliver sophisticated alarm displays tailored to customer needs, ensuring clarity and usability. Conduct alarm performance reviews using data interrogation and statistical analysis to identify trends and mitigate recurring issues. Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, facilitating consultative workshops with operations staff to drive adoption and buy in of HPCR solutions. Support integration, testing and deployment of HPCR solutions within control system environments. Balance customer deliverables and internal schedules effectively to ensure project success. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to foster long-term collaboration and trust. Who You Are: You anticipate customer needs and provide services that are beyond customer expectations. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, technical field, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in process operations or other manufacturing
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% in North America
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of plant control and/or alarm systems
  • Proven experience in control room design, human-machine interface (HMI), or alarm management systems.
  • Knowledge of industry graphic standards for operator displays, such as ANSI/ISA 18.2, ANSI/ISA 101.01, IEC 63303
  • Prior experience with Emerson Ovation Distributed Control System (DCS)
