What this job involves: This position is responsible for performing non-technical general building maintenance and repair duties in a commercial property setting. Working under close supervision, you'll handle light maintenance activities, custodial duties, minor repairs, and provide quick responses to emergency situations and customer service requests while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Mechanically inclined with ability to use general mechanical maintenance tools
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and safely install rigging/lifting devices
  • Physical capability to stoop, stand, climb, crouch, and reach regularly
  • Clear verbal communication skills and ability to read printed materials, drawings, and schematics
  • Complete all required JLL Safety Training annually
  • Comply with JLL Uniform Dress Code and maintain professional appearance

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of related experience in a commercial property setting
  • Participation in apprentice program or trade school
  • Experience with all types of paint applications and surface preparation techniques
  • Familiarity with building automation systems and web-based applications

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building maintenance and minor repair work under supervision
  • Execute interior and exterior painting projects, including surface preparation on wood, metal, and drywall
  • Replace and repair door hardware, locks, keys, light bulbs, lamps, and ballasts
  • Move furniture and handle modular system breakdown and setup
  • Conduct vacancy cleanup and organization activities
  • Provide general labor support including loading, unloading, and moving materials for engineering projects
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations and customer service requests
  • Use technology tools such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems
  • Maintain compliance with safety codes, regulations, and JLL uniform dress code standards
