The primary purpose of this position is to perform advanced hydraulic/ flow assurance simulation for both Decarbonization/ clean energy surface facilities and pipeline. The successful candidate will be working in the Project Management Engineering team, which provides engineering expertise in the area of Decarbonization/ clean energy pipeline simulation, flow assurance and fluid property calculation for new pipeline and facility systems. Studies will be performed on prospects to develop the CO2 potential and economics of development which requires close cooperation with facility and pipeline operations and engineering so that costs are generated which allow for economic production. As a member of the Project Management Engineering team, this position is responsible for technically evaluating the Decarbonization/ clean energy pipeline systems design included CO2, NH3, and H2 pipeline systems from a hydraulic/ flow assurance standpoint utilizing industry standard software such as SPS, NextGen, OLGA Transient, MULTIFLASH, and PIPESIM software. This position also will be responsible for advanced CO2 multi-phase flow hydraulic modeling including surge analysis (relief systems and valve timing), capacity optimization and commercial/business development scenario modeling.
