About The Position

Responsible to the assigned supervisor for performing intermediate level engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET.
  • 2 or more years of related engineering experience for Engineer - Grade 6.
  • 4 or more years of related engineering experience for Engineer - Grade 7.
  • 6 or more years of related engineering experience for Engineer Senior - Grade 8.
  • 8 or more years of related engineering experience for Engineer Principal - Grade 9.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is encouraged and preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in engineering from an engineering program accredited by ABET.
  • PhD in engineering from an engineering program accredited by ABET.
  • Engineering Technologist degree.

Responsibilities

  • Able to identify issues with processes and tools and provide possible solutions and provide input to more seasoned personnel.
  • Able to complete complex RPA with both new and legacy aspects.
  • Completes RPA with limited supervision.
  • Able to complete complex RTU configuration with both new and legacy aspects.
  • Completes configuration with limited supervision.
  • Beginning to expand communication technology competency to include legacy applications (Async, Sync, AEP, etc).
  • Able to support stakeholders with common SCADA related issues.
  • Able to complete alarm and basic I/O 2411 settings for both greenfield and brownfield projects with limited supervision.
  • Implements standards in appropriate measures with limited guidance from higher-level team members.
  • Assists higher level team members with overall SCADA compliance items.
  • Coordinates work activities of others within the work group, department, or other corporate entity as necessary to perform routine engineering work.
  • Performs routine engineering activity independently.
  • Provides training and guidance to lower-level employees.
  • Develops input necessary to forecast costs for the routine projects, improvements requisitions, etc.
  • Resolves and initiates solutions to routine and/or moderately complex problems which usually require additional definition/clarification before analysis can begin.
  • Identifies problems that are beyond the normal routine.
  • Seeks out opportunities and embrace new ideas and approaches.
  • Helps coordinate the work of other engineers in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Leads aspects of team effort.
