About The Position

Through Software and Calibration, the Systems and Drivability engineer will be responsible for confirming the integration of the full powertrain meet Honda, consumer, and regulatory requirements. Requirements

  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • 3-years related experience or equivalent level of education and experience
  • Proficient PC skills, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, and MATLAB

Responsibilities

  • Schedule planning, management, & reporting: Propose a completion plan based on assignments from direct supervisor and review it to ensure expectations and priority are understood.
  • Learn test process: Consult with direct supervisor to understand the scope and direction for testing/calibration assignments and complete all required training.
  • System functionality interdependencies: Consult with direct supervisor or group experts to estimate potential impacts of design changes and calibration updates.
  • Change point verification: Work with direct supervisor to learn the overall process and specific role of the Test Engineer.
  • Internal Collaboration: Communicate with direct supervisor to avoid excessive rework and share concerns in monthly check-in meetings.
  • Document Creation, Reporting & Follow up: Create documentation for assigned parts and report in evaluation events under the guidance of direct supervisor.
