Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in low-voltage energy system design in the automotive industry covering all phases of product development (design, test and launch).
  • Ability to read and understand C-programming source code
  • Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools for energy management (i.e., MatLab Simulink).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle’s E/E architectures
  • Solid understanding of vehicle development and products tailored to automotive-specific requirements, with a focus on enhancing delivery quality, security, and developer experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ownership, self-motivation, problem-solving, analytical thinking, teamwork, innovation, creativity, and effective communication abilities. You should be able to develop and thrive in working relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work in a truly cross-functional and global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end design and approval of low-voltage energy supply components like LV battery and LV battery diagnostics module including diagnostic functions
  • Own the end-to-end design and approval of charging accessories (i.e. adapters, charging cables)
  • Coordinate with supplier on i.e. timing, HW & SW maturity level, DFMEA etc.
  • Design and develop low-voltage energy management functions (i.e. SoC and SoH algorithms, charging characteristics etc.).
  • Evaluate and simulate low-voltage power consumption of the entire vehicle to ensure high efficiency, reliability, and system performance.
  • Implement advanced techniques to maximize the efficiency of low-voltage energy management systems.
  • Ensure low-voltage energy system complies with given standards, regulatory requirements, and internal requirements. Conduct thorough testing and validation to verify compliance.
  • Collaborate and work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including E/E engineers, and software developers, to ensure a stable low voltage energy system that fits into the overall vehicle architecture.
