Applies electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components; and quality testing. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems. The Future Submarine Platform Mechanical team is seeking highly skilled and experienced engineers and leaders to join our diverse, dynamic and dedicated team of engineers working across multiple submarine design programs. As a member of our team you’ll have the once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape critical functions and novel capabilities for the next generation of fast attack submarines. The Future Submarine program supports both SSN(X) and AUKUS attack submarine programs as well as special projects in the Undersea Warfare program. The mechanical team is responsible for the concept design, development, and execution of complex mechanical systems across the non-propulsion areas of the submarines, including payload launch and recovery, control surfaces, HVAC, chill water, masts, and many others. You will team with the customer, vendors, and industry to develop these systems, molding what will become the world’s most advanced and capable submarines.
