This early career electrical Engineering position allows you to grow your skills as a member of a product development team that handles full lifecycle of wind turbine Electrical systems - a multi-discipline engineering group that includes system engineering, electrical system and power conversion, mechanical design (Electro-Mechanical), grid regulation coordination, software design and integration/Test.

  • Design engineering solution for Electrical Systems (frequency converter, Pitch, generator, Grid, etc) of a wind turbine
  • Work closely with other engineering teams within GE Vernova Wind to coordinate interfaces between electrical systems and components.
  • Perform technical risk assessment and execute validation test plans to mitigate risks.
  • Conceptual or theoretical activities that deals with the study/research and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism.
  • Create Engineering documentation
  • Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and develop comprehensive requirements for wind turbine components and software.
  • Receive technical training, mentorship and coaching from world-class technologist and experienced technical managers.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Ability to demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving, learning agility.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas demonstrated through course work, internships or other experiences: controls systems and algorithm design, software development for embedded systems, PLC platforms and communication protocols, power electronics and controls systems, instrumentation and measurement of power converters, arc flash analysis and testing, protection coordination & selection (fuses, breakers) or component conductor sizing and selection.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, energetic, positive, flexible in changing environment.
  • Wind Turbine technology Experience is a strong plus but not required.
  • Passionate about renewable energy and/or sustainability.
