About The Position

JFL Consulting, LLC is seeking a full-time Engineer with a strong background in electrical, facilities, industrial, mechanical, chemical, systems or nuclear engineering to join our highly specialized team. Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and diligently complete mission objectives. The successful candidate will work with other SMEs to solve tough problems for the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD). The successful candidate will lead projects and teams, though this is not a management role. Collaborate with team members to develop new methodologies, tools and products for deliberate planning and crisis support operations in support of full dimensional defeat. Work within some or all of the following areas: Reverse Engineering Facilities, Hardened Structures, Infrastructure, Equipment & Networks (Chemical, Biological, Nuclear and Utility Systems) Criticality Node Identification Vulnerability Analysis System Analysis & Modeling (Cumulative & Combined Effects) High Performance Computing (HPC) and Multi-Physics Simulations (i.e. CFD, FEM, etc.) Damage Mechanism Propagation and Damage Effects Analysis & Modeling Equipment Fragility & Reconstitution Analysis Materials Analysis Test & Evaluation (verify and validate modeling and engineering capabilities)

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI and CI polygraph eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field. In lieu of a degree, with at least five (5) years of directly related operational experience may be a substitute.
  • Successful candidate will require a minimum of 5 years in either designing, installing, maintaining and/or repairing multiple industrial systems (mechanical, electrical, and/or controls, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of cooling, heating, ventilation, industrial water, wastewater, power, inert gas, compressed/instrument air, hydraulic, and/or fuel systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Successful candidate will be required to produce written technical reports, presentations and give briefings to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Up to 10% travel required and the ability to travel on short notice

Nice To Haves

  • Supported an engineering or utility department for an installation, facility or vessel (i.e. ship’s engine room).
  • Supported nuclear, chemical, petrochemical or manufacturing facility(s).
  • Experience in plant operations and processing operations to include process startup, operations and safety.
