About The Position

The role involves researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. The incumbent will lead technical development of electrical components associated with advanced submarine propulsion plant designs and will regularly communicate with Navy, NAVSEA, NNL, and shipyard engineers and technical staff via various communication platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 14 years of relevant exempt experience; or a Master's Degree and 12 years of relevant professional experience; or a Ph.D. and 9 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Strong technical background in submarine and/or aircraft carrier electrical system designs.
• Demonstrated ability to propose new electrical system and component design ideas and lead a team of engineers in the conceptual design, development, testing, and fielding of the final product.
• Recognition in the shipbuilding technical community as a subject matter expert in electrical systems and/or power system components.
