About The Position
This opportunity resides with Uncrewed Systems (UxS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Uncrewed Systems comprises unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and autonomy software. HII creates advanced unmanned solutions for defense, marine research and commercial applications. Serving customers in more than 30 countries, HII provides design, autonomy, manufacturing, testing, operations and sustainment of unmanned systems, including unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) and unmanned surface vessels (USVs). HII Unmanned Systems is seeking an experienced professional to come join our electrical engineering group! We are looking for an individual to lead the development of advanced capabilities for integration into our autonomous systems. System and subsystem design space includes common platform engineering areas, including energy subsystems, navigation subsystems, propulsion subsystems, sensor subsystems, and control subsystems, as well as launch and recovery systems. As an electrical engineer you will be responsible for the participation in product life cycle analysis and the development and management of technical data packages on new and existing designs. Working in a cross functional design team, the candidate will be responsible for bringing electrical systems designs through first article release, test, integration, delivery to manufacturing, and manufacturing support and improvements.
