About The Position

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Candidate will be responsible for Ship Alternation related data, such as drawings, instructions to execute the work, coordination of technical manual changes and interface coordination. The candidate will lead projects and coordinate with stakeholders to complete tasking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
  • Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

  • Knowledge of the NAVY Ship Alternation process.
