Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. This position supports the Combat Systems Team in Department E35. The incumbent will lead the architecture, integration, and testing of advanced sonar, torpedo fire-control, command-and-control, and electronic warfare systems aboard next generation submarines. You will collaborate with hull, mechanical, and power-plant engineers, as well as Navy stakeholders, to ensure systems meet requirements. Lead system-level design and integration of hull-mounted and towed sonar arrays, fire-control systems, sensors, and ESM/ECM suites. Develop and review technical specifications, interface control documents, and combat system architectures tailored to submarine constraints. Coordinate with cross-discipline teams to manage shock, vibration, EMI/EMC, and acoustic signature requirements. Mentor junior engineers and enforce submarine engineering standards Manage schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments for assigned combat system work
