About The Position
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. This position is part of the Newport News Shipbuilding Reactor Servicing Engineering group, responsible for providing design and engineering support to service Navy nuclear reactors. Reactor Servicing Engineering offers a challenging, high paced, team environment with opportunity to excel and endless possibilities for professional growth. This particular position specifically requires an Electrical Engineering degree with over 5 years of field type and/or hands-on electrical experience. Prefer experience in servicing nuclear reactor facilities, cranes, or like environments. This position is not a good fit for comuter science or like degrees. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
- Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
- Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
