About The Position

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Nice To Haves

Previous shipbuilding experience, especially with combat systems, is a plus.
Profiency in Microsoft Office Applications and AutoCAD.
Should have experience managing all activities associated with shipboard systems, including establishing technical requirements and overseeing system integration.
Should have background in researching, developing, and designing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks in alignment with contractual, military, and commercial specifications.
Should have ability to develop and review procurement specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and approve vendor-furnished information for use in construction products.
Should have experience collaborating with vendors and Navy technical representatives, supporting design reviews, and participating in testing activities.
Familiarity with creating drawings and documentation in accordance with Mil-Specs and contract requirements.
Strong cross‑discipline coordination skills to ensure seamless integration of assigned systems into the ship environment.
Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues, provide sound technical decisions within assigned areas, and support shipbuilding production teams as needed.
