About The Position

Houston Engineering, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Municipal Engineer to support a variety of public infrastructure projects. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit
• Aspirations to obtain PE licensure
• Must be detail oriented and self-motivated
• Valid driver's license required with good driving record
• Utilize effective written and oral communication skills to coordinate and collaborate with coworkers, contractors, and the community

Responsibilities

• Completing designs using CADD modeling software
• Preparing spreadsheets and construction plans and specifications
• Completing site development designs
• Performing construction cost estimating, construction observation, and facility inspection for a variety of civil engineering projects
• Digital design of storm, sanitary, and water utilities in addition to street and site plan development
• Preparing studies, reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for civil and municipal water infrastructure projects
• Completing engineering analysis and calculations
• Observing and documenting construction projects
• Coordinating planning, design, and construction with clients, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies
